Bonjour, Montreal! It is always exciting to have the chance to visit a new city for the weekend. I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful Old Montreal with InterContinental Hotel this past weekend and instantly fell in love with the historic charm of the city. Montreal has a vibrant atmosphere and it is clear the city celebrates art, music, architecture, design and food. The city is a breeze to navigate and brims with charm. I can’t wait to share all my photos from my trip, but first I want to share with you the best part of all my hotel experience at InterContinental Montreal.
The staff at InterContinental is welcoming and gracious making it the perfect place to stay in Montreal. The hotel is located on Saint-Antoine St West just steps from Old Montreal. The InterContinental Montreal has a rich historical heritage with gorgeous views of the city. I stayed in the Iconic Tourelles Suites which was beautiful and peaceful. The suite consisted of a gorgeous bedroom, clean and bright bathroom and spacious lounge with a superb 180 degree view of the city. The InterContinental also offers several different types of suites and rooms meaning that regardless of your travel style there is definitely a fit for everyone at InterContinental.
A highlight of the hotel stay was definitely the food! Breakfast consisted of a buffet with options ranging from pancakes and fresh baked goods to delicious granola yogurt parfaits. On Friday night, I tried a few dishes from the menu at Osco! The menu had a focus on local products and a wide variety of meat and seafood options. The grilled octopus appetizer came highly recommended and would definitely be the dish I would suggest to anyone with a reservation. The dessert was also a must (who doesn’t want to indulge in a french patisserie when in Montreal?)
The hotel was relaxing, spacious and the perfect place to stay during my time in Montreal. I can’t wait to come back to this city again soon and enjoy the comfort of InterContinental…I miss it already!
