Milan Fashion Week has come to a close, but the beautiful photos from the runways and amazing street style snaps will have all of us dreaming of this Italian fashion capitol for weeks to come. When it comes to shopping there is no place quite like Milan. Of course Fashion Week is about incredible clothing, but between shows jet setters are all about indulging in the best food and drink Milano has to offer. From uber chic rooftop hideaways to five star hotel bars, this guide of place to see and be seen will make you never want to say “caio” (unless Paris is the next stop!)

On the eighth floor of the Boscolo hotel, overlooking the Duomo, the Terraza is the perfect place for an Italian-style aperitif, offering outstanding attention to detail, a unique restaurant serving delicious gourmet dishes. Cosmopolitan and forever chic, this hangout spot is the best place to watch the allure of this vibrant city. The Boscolo has a popular Lounge Bar as well as two restaurants but the place to be is definitely the leisurely rooftop!

Ceresio 7 is the go to spot for it-girls, fashion bloggers, business tycoons and prominent Milanese families. Situated above the historical Enel building, Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 have created a luxe and glamorous escape complete with breathtaking views which can be enjoyed poolside. Glamour is definitely a keyword here.

Take just one step onto the rooftop of Rinascente and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a flashy Italian film staring the world’s ritziest celebrities. Cozied right up against the Duomo this breezy and sophisticated restaurant and bar will have your senses in overdrive. Tingling tastebuds courtesy of a jewel coloured aperol spritz? Check. Heart eyes over every high fashion ensemble on display? Double check. Ears perking up as buyers and influencers discuss their favourite trends? Check, check, check!

Discreetly tucked away in the heart of 10 Corso Como’s quiet courtyard the Garden Cafe is a lush oasis of beauty and divinity. Decorated with a majestic assortment of perennial plants and seasonal flowers this cafe and bar is an excellent example of design that embraces the environment and brings the outdoors in.

Film and fashion lovers will both rejoice at Bar Luce! Designed by film director Wes Anderson, Bar Luce recreates the atmosphere of a typical Milanese cafè. Although his movies often favor symmetrical tableaux, Anderson feels that ‘there is no ideal angle for this space. It is for real life, and ought to have numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc. While I do think it would make a pretty good movie set, I think it would be an even better place to write a movie. I tried to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in.’ What’s not to love?

T’a Milano Store & Bistrot is a stylish venue in which every detail is designed to attract and pamper guests, creating an alluring attraction for Milanese and international visitors alike. The interior comprises unique pieces, such as designer lamps, tables and velvet seating, created exclusively by Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects. The counters and other furnishings blend harmoniously with the fine marble and the decorative stucco work that adorns the walls and ceilings of this unique ambience. Could there be a more marvellous place to sit back and relax?

Just steps away from Via della Spiga (Milan’s top street for high fashion shopping) this beguiling restaurant set in a lush courtyard is pure bliss. Il Salumaio Di Montenapoleone features a luxury menu specializing in charcuterie prepared with the finest ingredients. The environment is elegant, sumptuous and a true classic for fine dining in Milan.

All of these hot spots are meccas in Milan during fashion week and beyond. Which one would you choose to be your signature spot?
