Anyone who says they don’t believe in love at first sight clearly has never been to London! As soon as I stepped out of the underground into the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea I was instantly swooning. The architecture in London is so elegant and beautiful and each store that lines the streets magically beckons patrons with its unique design and artistic aesthetic. I had a busy weekend planned and am sharing all the photos with you bellow!
My weekend in London started out with a tour of the gorgeous Leighton House Museum tucked away in Holland Park. The museum was the former home of the painter Frederic, Lord Leighton and has been open to the public since 1929. The House is a crown jewel for art and interior design featuring an opulent collection of Middle Eastern tiles that have been used to decorate a breathtaking sanctuary on the first floor.
After a tour of the Leighton House it was off to Harvey Nichols for a glamorous brunch on their incredible Fifth Floor Terrace in Knightsbridge. Harvey Nichols is without a doubt one of the most glorious department stores in London. Until mid-June Harvey Nichols has partnered with teapigs to bring guests a delicious matcha menu complete with matcha infused delights including crepes, croissants, eggs Florentine, energy juices and many more mouthwatering items. Needless to say this brunch was absolutely incredible!
After brunch it was off to Marylebone to visit The Wallace Collection which houses some of the most dainty and exquisite rococo paintings in the world. Selfridges was only a short walk away so needless to say hours with of browsing as well as a mini makeup tutorial by the experts at Urban Decay filled the rest of my afternoon.
I feel like I could spend forever wandering the streets of London and taking in all the stunning sights! I can’t wait to return soon and explore more of this beautiful mecca.
