Montreal is a city synonymous with effortlessly cool fashion. Bohemia envelopes the city streets from the trendy cafes to the hipster chic outfits sported by locals. The motivating attraction behind my visit was to see the glamorous Haute Couture Barbie Expo. One of my best friends, Lauren, and I ate amazing food, visited unique shops and had fun exploring all there is to do in the city. Due to the girl nature of our the visit it seemed only fitting to select an outfit that characterized the feminine sophistication of Barbie dolls. Spending the day browsing the gorgeous boutiques in Holt Renfrew and La Maison Ogilvy seemed the perfect way to stumble upon Montreal’s most beautiful couture surprises!
Le Château is a fashion company that was founded in Montreal. With women’s and men’s clothing that is glamorous and chic it seemed the only place to source pieces for my trip. I wanted an outfit inspired by Barbie’s feminine and empowering image. A pink lace dress layered over a neutral turtleneck and poncho was the perfect outfit to take on the cool March weather. Of course bein an accessory addict I added twinkle to my look with a jewelled headband, golden bracelets and rings and a cream coloured clutch all from Le Château.
I’ve always been obsessed with kawaii culture and especially kawaii nail art 💅! While in Montreal it seemed essential to get my nails decked out Japanese style at Bar à Ongles Candy with a glam Barbie manicure. The manicure embodies charm, enchantment and cuteness in the perfect way: 3D nail art, nail art stickers (imported all the way from Tokyo), gems and jewels. This is the best manicure I’ve ever had in my entire life and I cannot wait to share with you more details on the process in an upcoming post- stay tuned!
Walking through the luxe department store La Maison Ogilvy I gasped out loud as soon as I saw the beautiful Oh La Bonte pop up shop. Pink, prettiness and flowers are three of my favourite things. If you’re looking for the perfect way to make someone special feel loved on a special occasion a box of Oh La Bonte flowers is definitely key. So, if you are looking to spoil me a big box of pink flowers from Oh La Bonte is the way to my heart 😉 Pinky promise I’ll love you (and the flowers) forever and always 💋
Seriously though, I can’t get enough of this manicure or these flowers! However, the Oh La Bonte pop up wasn’t the only boutique making girls go total heart eye emoji. Patisserie Petit Lapin was showing off their adorable Easter bunny doughnuts and cupcakes. Not only are the treats from Patisserie Petit Lapin delicious and oh so cute they are also all gluten free, lactose free, free of the ten priority food allergens. Regardless of your dietary restrictions you can indulge in one of these sweet lil treats…trust me, you won’t regret it they are 🙏🙏🙏
Stay tuned for more updates from my trip to Montreal! Special thank you to my perfect friend Lauren Hill for the photos 👯
