Lately the Internet has been rampaged with the debate on social media and whether or not it is “real” or “fake”. There are so many different view points making it impossible to ever land on a clear answer. Social media, like so many creative fields, is very subjective and very personal. Essena O’Neill has sparked the discussion on authenticity and online profiles. The recent controversy surrounding social media has certainly inspired me to aim to post material I truly believe reflects who I am and what I am proud of. Being a fashion blogger what better way to contribute to creating a more honest digital diet than through a new street style post featuring clothing and accessories I can’t help but feel truly at home in!
Okay…you caught me I have a chronic over-accessorizing problem! I can’t help it! Perhaps it has something to do with growing up idolizing French fashion icons such as Marie Antoinette or playing with too many My Little Ponies? Regardless, my inherent desire to pile on copious dosages of glitz, glam and cuteness likely isn’t going away anytime soon. Colourful and creative, I definitely believe this outfit captures the artistic perspective through which I see the world while also being uniquely flamboyant enough to also make a fashion statement! In a world driven by image and also judgement it takes courage to be unapologetically be yourself, however it something everyone should strive for. Be you want to be, wear what you want to be and live every day with honesty, loves!
