The French are praised for their delectable culinary techniques and simplistically elegant dishes. It is almost impossible to find the perfect Parisian dining experience anywhere beyond Europe, however tucked away in a posh and sophisticated corner of Toronto lies Colette Grand Cafè which is truly the best taste of France in the YYZ. At Colette all the ingredients are treated with integrity and care resulting in a culinary experience that will be impossible not to cherish. The menu at Colette reflects the influences of simple French bistro with an extraordinary flare for for elegance you will not soon forget. One of my oldest and closest friends, Allison Jones, and I deciding to indulge in a lovely evening of Marie Antoinette-ing at Colette in the Thompson Hotel and the day was sheer bliss!
Thank you again to Allison Jones for taking me and Jenna Carter for the restaurant suggestion!
The atmosphere in the cafe was divine – a pretty pale blue washing over the walls and furniture made the guests feel as though they were dining inside a giant Tiffany & Co box. With soft and dreamy classical music flooding the room and an array of extraordinary charming waiters and chefs the entire Colette experience was most comparable to a dream. Allison and I selected our favourite decadent pastries from the bakery and chased the sweet treats with the most crisp and refreshing iced coffees ever! It would be easy to go on and on praising all things Colette for paragraphs to come, but I’ll let the gorgeous photographs above speak for themselves! If this doesn’t have to dying to make reservations at this little slice of French paradise, vous êtes fou!
