Mikhael Kale’s Fall/Winter 2015 runway show at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto featured richly textured garments and a beautiful colour palette of Fall pastels. The tone of the collection was understated whimsicality with feminine details easily detected through delicate feather detailing and beading on the peachy coats and dresses that hit the runway. Maybelline’s master makeup artist, Grace Lee, created a subtly dramatic makeup look that perfectly complimented the collection. The makeup look for Mikhael Kale’s FW15 collection featured fresh faces, light lips and eyes with a swish of vibrant orange eyeshadow. The look is interesting due to the unexpected dash of orange which Grace says is a fun makeup technique because “not only does adding a pop of colour to the inner corner of the eye using lip colour create an unforgettable look, it’s also a great way to use an everyday product in a different way.” Grace broke the makeup look into face, eyes and lips.
On the face Grace used Face Studio Master Prime to create a fresh, glowing finish. With Fit Me! Foundation Stick and Fit Me! Powder Grace gave models a light, easy complexion perfect for next Fall. For the eyes Grace created a neutral-toned smokey eye accentuated with a few wisps of mascara. The real statement came with Color Sensational Vivids Lip Color in Electric Orange which Grace used to highlight the inner corner of the eye. Lastly, Grace used a applied a nude lipstick for monochromatic sheen finish.
Overall Mikhael Kale’s FW15 collection was fantastic and Grace Lee’s Maybelline makeup looks left all the models looking absolutely stunning.
