WMCFW RUNWAY REVIEW: PINK TARTAN SS15 RTW

Pink Tartan

Black and white dominated the Pink Tartan runway on Monday at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto making for a superb fashion week kick-off. Designer Kim Newport-Mimran experimented with a chic 70s inspired style with a collection featuring sexy pants, tops and chic bodysuits. Each look in the collection screams sophistication and style as well as understated elegance. High waisted trousers, fur stoles, fringes and neck ties proved to be top trends.

The beauty looks on the runway matched the sheer simplicity of the collection. Models donned beautiful bronzed makeup perfected by Maybelline’s lead makeup artist Grace Lee. The Redken hair was equally glamorous: luxe blown out curls, parted perfectly in the middle. The beauty looks on the runway complimented the hip 70s inspired clothing that will no doubt be big this spring/ summer.

Overall, the collection was very well received and all the guests in the audience were amazed by Kim’s latest collection. Each piece in the collection stood out and it seems impossible to deem just one look as a “must-have” when they all are. Truly a stand out collection.
