There is nothing more spectacular than loosing yourself in art and that is exactly what people do when they come to visit The Wynwood Walls in Miami Beach. A former warehouse district, Wynwood, has been transformed into a sprawling outdoor art gallery in which each warehouse is tattooed in incredible murals. Each building tells a new story with its unique and beautiful masterpiece making The Wynwood Walls a must-see in Miami. Artists from the United States, Brazil, Belgium, Mexico, Portugal, Ukraine, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Germany, France, England, Japan and Singapore have contributed to the art in this fabulous district and celebrated street artists such as Shepard Fairey, Invader, FUTURA 2000, Aiko Sego and many more have contributed!
Not only are all of the murals at The Wynwood Walls amazing and filled with imagination and creativity, they are also almost brand-new. The Wynwood Walls is a part of Art | Basel an international art show in which leading galleries from North America, Europe, Asia and Africa show contemporary art, films, photography, drawings and illustrations. Each December the walls of Wynwood are bleached and new artists step forward to paint new murals! Exploring the beautiful art that coated the buildings as well as the amazing galleries in Miami Beach was so much fun and I absolutely loved photographing the murals in the area!
