WILDFOX Swim debuted its Cruise 2014 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim at the Raleigh Hotel on Fiday July 18th to a jam packed crowd of leading editors, international buyers and celebrity fans and bloggers. The show was definitely one of the most hotly anticipated at Fashion Week! Guests outside the event were itching for first looks at the new collection and the buzz before the show was heightened before a tropical torrential downpour! Guests were running through Collins Avenue with stilettos in hand screaming at the splashing flood of water pouring down the sidewalks and seeping into the Fashion Week tents!

The runway show was definitely worth the rainy trek and all the swimsuits in the show truly amazed! Inspired by the late 80s and 90s fashion, Barbie, vintage Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues and supermodels of the era, the show featured a palette of pastel, ombre and neon hues mixed in with cutesy burger prints, adorable gingham and funky neon colours. Key trends in the collection included zipper details, neoprene, high leg one pieces and cheeky thong bottoms.
The fabulous soundtrack included melodies reminiscent of the 90s and 90s and created a true party vibe. Audience members would scream and clap at their favourite looks on the runway and models slinked down the runway with grace, panache and sexy struts. The collection had a very vintage-chic meets pin-up girl vibe. Of course what made every look one hundred times more amazing were the signature fairy-like flower crowns that all the girls donned on the runway.
Vincent Longo cosmetics created 90s inspired Naomi, Kate, Shalom or Linda looks ranging from allover natural to top lined eyes and more dramatic lips. Hair was left in messy, beach waves and was done by the UNITE hair team. Tiny braids and tousled locks helped bring the swimsuits to life on the runway.
Overall the collection was girly, fun, whimsical and as unique and magical as all WILDFOX things are. The pieces in the collection will range from $58-$168 meaning next summer there is no reason not to invest in one (or maybe all) of the incredible bikinis, one pieces, rompers, beach cover ups and accessories in this collection.
