Kate Spade New York is synonymous with the Manhattan luxe life and all things girly, vintage and fun, however for Fall 2014 Kate Spade took a journey to the other side of the world! Creative Director, Deborah Lloyd spent the past year exploring Asia and the rich culture of Tokyo and Shanghai and hence her vivid travels were woven into the very core of the cute collection! “I travel so much, but even when it’s for work, I really try to enjoy the places I’m visiting,” said Lloyd whose passion for jet setting clearly transcended into her latest collection!
Kate Spade’s Fall 2014 collection was less frilly and girly than past seasons (obviously that was a disappointment for a girl like me who would be quite content drowning herself in Marie Antoinette’s petticoats all day, every day) but the more contemporary collection is still chic and fun. A sophisticated palette of navy blue and camel set the tone for the collection, but splashes of pale pink and fuchsia kept the clothing whimsy! Of course this collection also had a unique Asian twist with Chinese fan and bird cage inspired clutches. Yes, the accessories in this collection were truly fabulous. Overall, another great season from Kate Spade!
