It’s Thursday and that means it’s time to throw it back to something awesome form the past! The coolest part of my blogging history I haven’t shared with you yet? My visit to the Boy Meets Girl head office in New York City this past summer! I have been working with Stacy Igel, the founder and CEO of Boy Meets Girl, and the superstars on her incredible team for years so the chance to finally connect with them in real life and get a tour of where all the BMG magic happens was a dream come true!
The Boy Meets Girl offices were located in a contemporary skyscraper in the heart of Manhattan. With an inspiring view over the iconic city skyline, this was the perfect place to get to chat with Stacy Igel and her charming staff. Tucked away in Boy Meets Girl’s vibrant and colorful board room the four of us exchanged hugs (after four years of working with a team it starts to feel like family) and discussed everything fashion related! Not only did I get to browse the beautiful samples from the loungewear collection (all available online) I was also able to discuss my work as a BMG Brand Ambassador (that’s right, F&B Inc readers can get a special discount on Boy Meets Girl personalized hoodies with the code “BMGANNIE”) Our time spent in the board room wasn’t complete without writing a wish for the brands wish wall and of course snapping some selfies for social media!
After leaving the board room I was invited on a full tour of the Boy Meets Girl offices which was literally like stepping into a fashionista’s paradise! When I tell you there were clothes everywhere…I mean it! Racks and racks and racks of fabulous BMG apparel covered the office. Boy Meets Girl is known for their high-fashion, comfy and casual attire and seeing so many wonderful articles of chic ready-to-wear clothing in one place was like being in heaven! Next, we moved on to Stacy’s office which was a fun, vibrant fashion bun coated in mood boards and sketches for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection!
Stacy was super excited to share with me all the bold, eye-catching looks from her latest collection which debuted in September at New York Fashion Week. This collection was especially thrilling as it represented the fruition of Boy Meets Girl’s partnership with Wii Just Dance. Stacy designed the entire Spring/Summer 2014 collection with Wii Just Dance in mind meaning explosive colors, bursts of funky fabric and punching, passion-filled pieces were top of mind! The collection was absolutely amazing and it was such an honor to receive a sneak peak of Stacy’s collection. Be sure to check back on the blog soon for a feature on the runway show and F&B Inc’s favorite pieces from the collection!
Overall, my visit to the Boy Meets Girl offices in New York City was not only a dream come true, but a highlight of my blogging career thus far. Stacy Igel and her team were so sweet, welcoming and delightful and their offices were positively perfect in every way. Thank you again to Stacy and everyone at BMG for helping to make my visit to Manhattan so memorable…I can’t wait to return and continue to work with you much more in the future!
