WMCFW Runway Review: Mackage Spring/Summer 2014 RTW

October 31, 2013

Mackage is a fashion line rooted in the rough and tough vibe of outerwear and the chic, refined aura of inner wear. Designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan launched Mackage in 1999 and have since exploded to become the most prestigious outerwear brand in all of North America. “Mackage was created around the belief that outerwear is an integral element of fashion. When the weather calls for layering, a coat isn’t just a part of an outfit – it becomes the outfit itself.” describe the designers on their official website. Naturally with all the fame and allure that surrounds this contemporary fashion label their Spring/Summer 2014 runway show at World MasterCard Fashion Week was one of the most hotly anticipated of the week!
The collection was urban and sexy and featured a juxtaposition between masculinity and femininity. Black, bright orange, army green and ballet pink dominated the collection and leather was a huge part of the show. It isn’t often that every single look in the show is truly stellar, but this collection proved to be ever stylish through and through. The models on the runway embodied everything the Mackage shopper is: strong, confident, rugged, refined and above all a fashion authority.

This collection was truly brilliant and definitely one of the hottest runway shows during fashion week!
