September 6, 2013
When it comes to Spring/Summer 2014 Richard Chai is all about white, black and tangerine accents. The American fashion designer is a graduate of Parsons The New School For Design and was a designer at Marc by Marc Jacobs before launching his own eponymous line which has been extremely successful. Richard Chai’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection debuted today at in New York City at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and was a huge hit. A-list guests glamming up the front row at Richard Chai include the Jonas Brothers, Colton Haynes, Christina Ricci and Louise Roe.

The collection featured loose fitting garments ranging from cool crop tops to baggy dresses. Vertical and horizontal striped fabric was super popular and minimalistic accessories put all the focus on the clothing. The garments look cool, soft and breathable (perfect for summer!) The collection definitely had a modern vibe and received high praise from fashion industry insiders at the show. The collection had a modern feel with bold graphic prints and straight hemlines that made a statement.
