When one thinks of punk fashion black and sheer panels are top of mind so it makes sense that dark sheer panels were a major trend on the red carpet. Varying shades of reds and oranges were very hot on the red carpet and Beyonce got especially high praise for her flaming orange and black gown that truly made her look like a Queen!
Modern, sleek and chic, but with an edgy twist! Cut outs were super hot on the Met Gala red carpet. Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan and Miranda Kerr rocked this trend best all options for classic gowns with sexy cut-out twists. This is a very posh look and the cut-outs give each of these dresses the perfect punk vibe.
Surprisingly enough pretty, delicate and feminine ensembles also made up a large portion of the red carpet trends at the Met Gala! Heidi Klum went for an elegant silky gown featuring gems and jewels, Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour looked fabulous in a floral Chanel gown and her daughter Bee Shaffer also stunned in an equally amazing mermaid gown.
