Star-Studded Soundtrack From The Hotly Anticipated Up-And-Coming Flick “The Great Gatsby” Drops & Is Drool Worthy

April 18, 2013
Ask anyone with even the slightest finger on the pulse of pop culture at the moment and they’ll tell you everyone is raving about the release of the hotly anticipated new flick “The Great Gatsby”. The glitzy and glamorous book-to-movie adaption is bound to be big and judging from the swanky soundtrack which was just released the movie’s music is bound to be just as sizzling and sexy and the scenes on screen. Featuring fabulous original songs from the hottest musicians on the planet including Lana Del Rey, Beyonce x Andre 3000, Florence + The Machine,, The xx, Fergie + Q Tip + GoonRock and The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, among others, there is no denying this soundtrack will be the perfect backdrop to the movie.

The movie’s writer/producer, director, Baz Lurhmann, collaborated with legendary musician, JAY Z, to bring movie lovers and Gatsby addicts a soundtrack that no one couldn’t love. The two drew on the sultry sounds of the Jazz Age infusing full-out band instrumentals set against intense vocals that make listeners chill in their seats. The soundtrack has a raw, edgy and contemporary feel while still intertwining the classic sounds of the 20s one would anticipate to hear in a move set in the most glittery era of all time. Luhrmann definitely wanted the soundtrack to be a combination of modern and historic references, “F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel is peppered with contemporary music references specific to the story’s setting of 1922. While we acknowledge, as Fitzgerald phrased it, ‘the Jazz Age,’ and this is the period represented on screen, we-our audience- are living the ‘hip-hop age’ and want our viewers to feel the impact of modern-day music the way Fitzgerald did for the readers of his novel at the time of its publication.” Mission accomplished…F&B Inc believes this stand-out soundtrack will suit the movie perfectly.
