OPI Struts It On The Houghton New York Fashion Week Fall/ Winter 2013 Runway

February 9, 2013
One of the most exciting elements of New York Fashion Week is the model manicures! F&B Inc is in love with the romantic, lace tips that strutted down the Houghton runway at New York Fashion Week. Designer Katharine Polk debuted her gorgeous Fall/ Winter 2013 collection for her line Houghton. 29-year-old Polk only started showing at NYFW recently but has quickly proved she is one to watch.
Models at the Houghton runway show adorned their nails in OPI’s Samoan Sand nail lacquer topped off with a delicate lace topping (the gorgeous lace was used throughout Polk’s collection). The lace covered nails added a unique texture to the manicure and tied the nails directly into the clothing in Polk’s line.
Each of the models in the show had their nails shaped into a smooth and sophisticated oval to best show off the pale lace manicure. This look can be achieved at home by simply softening the edge of your nail with a nail file.

I found this post while searching for images of lace on the runway. I love the idea of adding lace to your nails. I'll have to try that out. My nails have been square for as long as I can remember. I think maybe it's time for a change (^_^)
