The Golden Globes are one of the biggest award shows of the year and every celebrity attending knows how important it is to make a glam red carpet appearance and hopefully land on a best dressed list. However a perfect award show appearance is about more than just a great dress…hair and makeup  are equally important! Which celebrity had the best hairstyle on the red carpet this Sunday? Emily Blunt! The Golden Globe nominee for Best Actress looked stunning in a flattering Michael Kors gown and beautiful hair look created with Mroccanoil and styled by Laini Reeves. Emily’s elegant high bun was inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s sophisticated and dramatic hairstyle in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. Blunt’s stylist fused Hepburn’s timelessly glamorous princess bun with a sleek and modern edge making it perfect for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards! “Emily’s dress was so amazing and sexy that I wanted to create a minimal look that showed off her beautiful features, with simple lines and an unstructured texture with lots of shine,” said Laini Reeves about the hairstyle she created for Emily.

Emily Blunt’s hairstyle was truly gorgeous and the kind of classic look that would look stunning on any girl. Want an inside look on how Laini created Emily’s red carpet hairstyle and tips and tricks on how to re-create the look at home? Keep reading...

Learn How To Get Emily Blunt’s Hair Look With Tips From Celebrity Hair Stylist Laini Reeves

Laini started by shampooing Emily’s hair with Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo and Moroccanoil Extra Volume conditioner. These high end products create volume while cleansing the hair and scalp. Your hair will be shiny, luminous and glowing after the use of this shampoo and conditioner.

Next, Emily’s hair stylist applied Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse to give her hair the ultimate shimmer and shine. This is a great product because it leaves hair glossy and glamorous while also keeping it in place. This mousse is a must-have for girls wanting to re-create this chic hairstyle at home.

Laini followed up by adding a small amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to Emily’s hair. When re-creating this look at home this product is key because it will make your tresses easy to work with. Be sure to run your fingers through your hair and tousle it softly as it dries for natural looking waves!

To create the beautiful Audrey Hepburn inspired bun Emily sported at the Golden Globes Laini Reeves collected Blunt’s locks  into a high ponytail. When trying this hairstyle  at home simply grab a hair elastic and tie your hair into a high pony. Be sure to continue running your fingers through your hair so it gets a messy yet refined texture.

After creating a high ponytail, Laini held the ponytail out to one side and sprayed it from base to tips with Moroccanoil Luminous Haispray Medium. This amazing hairspray promises to give locks the ultimate hold so they will be secure all night long.

To create the glamorous princess bun, Laini Reeves twisted Emily’s hair around her fingers and made a loose bun secured to the crown of the head with bobby pins (a must have for any intricate hair style!) Be careful not to make your bun too big or too small. Laini worked extra hard to find the perfect bun size to match Emily’s features.

Of course Laini wanted to leave Emily’s hair looking 100% fabulous so she finished the look by spraying her comb with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium and gently combed hair into a sleek and sophisticated arrangement.

Emily Blunt’s Golden Globe hairstyle was truly gorgeous and Laini Reeves did an amazing styling job. This look is easy and fun to create yourself at home. Simply collect your Moroccanoil products and get styling!
