Were you a part of the glitter, the gloss and the magic that was the Golden Globes? Last night the glitzy award show, hosted by funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, was filled with laugh-out-loud jokes, high fashion and seriously good TV shows and movies! Last night’s broadcast brought in the best ratings for the award show in 6 years! Overall, the looks from the red carpet didn’t offer anything particularly fresh or new. Naturally there was the same array of champagne and nude colored frocks as well as figure flattering mermaid gowns, however there were some stars whose elegant looks separated them from the rest of the class. Keep reading for Fahsion & Beauty Inc’s top Golden Globe fashion picks…
Elegant at any age! Julianne Moore looked elegant, classic and chic in a very modern way in her Tom Ford black and white evening gown. The white triangular paneling was slimming, age appropriate and very sophisticated. Moore accessorized with a Tom Ford clutch, shoes and Bulgari jewelry. Her Golden Globe (she won for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for her role in Game Change.) was the perfect finishing touch to her red carpet look.
Sexy yet sophisticated! Naomi Watts looked lovely on the Golden Globe red carpet in deep crimson Zac Posen dress, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Casadei shoes, and a Salvatore Ferragamo bag. While Naomi went home empty handed award wise the fact that her red carpet look has landed her on so many “Best Dressed” lists is a definite plus.
Marion Cotillard looked lovely in her knee-length, asymmetrical hem lined Christian Dior by: Raf Simons. Cotillard accessorized her striking red dress with coordinating Dior heels, a stunning bag by Christian Louboutin and beautiful Chopard jewelry. Marion did not win a Golden Globe, but her winning red carpet look was a true hit!
The ever-stylish Anne Hathaway looked positively pristine in a peal white floor length, strapless peplum dress from Chanel with matching jewelry and coat by the same designer. Anne accessorized the dress with a Roger Vivier bag and Aldo shoes. Hathaway also took home a Golden Globe for her stand out performance as factory worker, Fantine, in Les Miserables.
Golden Globes presenter, Jessica Alba, turned heads in her tangerine mermaid dress and fashion-forward accessories! Alba’s bright Oscar de la Renta gown was downright glam “”I just liked the color,” Alba told Us Weekly. “I felt glamorous.“. What else added to her glamorous look? Her reported 5.8 million dollar Harry Winston necklace. Oh la la!
